_{hydromancy: scrying with water, the visions may come from the colour ebb and flow or ripples produced by pebbles dropped into a pool}

a few things in this were inspired from various other sketches i had, the bottom half especially was inspired from another painting i currently have underway
is one of my biggest paintings for a long long time, the paper i used was meant for printmaking, got a few different sheets from this lovely new store in town, sells all supplies for printmaking and some really good inking stuff, was really different to use mostly i think because its designed to soak in paints different so each layer didnt blend so much as i was used to with the watercolour papers, and the colours seemed to 'fade' into the paper more if i didnt use a strong enough wash, but i really liked using this

eventually i'll have more description and hopefully some wips and close-ups over at my blog - [link] - trying to get in the habit of writing more online
this was a pain in the ass to put together and had too many computer problems while doing so, so enough internet and computer for today
